The Chautauqua-Lake Erie Wine Trail is planning two Winemaker’s Dinners, one in Pennsylvania and one in New York, both scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2010. This is a new event and details will be released soon. Both venues will feature grazing dinners with wines from each of the wineries – and best of all, winemakers will be presenting their wines and answering your questions.
For each weekend event, each participating winery will select one wine to feature for the weekend and will pair it with an event-inspired food which is prepared and is available for ticket holders only. The ticket, which is sold online and mailed with a Wine Trail brochure/map) will specify one winery as a "host" winery where a package which includes a wineglass, gift, and recipe booklet will be waiting for you. You need NOT go to the host winery first.
Wine Trail Events are self-guided itineraries during which you may visit as many or as few wineries as you wish AND in any order, over the course of the two-day event. The wineries are open from 10-5pm both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable, so that your friends and family may use them if you can’t. Designated driver tickets are available.
Groups larger than 8 should make advance reservations when visiting wineries as a regular courtesy. This is especially important during ticketed Wine Trail Events and the Wine Trail reserves the right to limit the number of large groups purchasing tickets for these events.
